Returns & Guarantee Policy

At Tesoros del Mediterráneo , our priority is the health and wellbeing of every puppy or kitten we deliver. This policy explains, in accordance with current Spanish law, what rights the buyer has and what guarantees we offer.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

Under article 103 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (TRLGDCU) and article 333 bis of the Spanish Civil Code, read together with Law 7/2023 on the protection of animals, live animals are not subject to the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance sales. An animal is not an ordinary consumer good: once delivered and in the buyer's possession, it cannot be "returned" like a product due to a change of mind. For this reason, we do not accept returns based on personal preference after delivery. Every puppy or kitten is examined by a veterinarian before delivery to ensure it arrives in optimal health.

Veterinary health guarantee

All of our puppies and kittens are delivered with:

• Official health passport/record, in accordance with Royal Decree 1021/2022.

• Vaccinations and deworming appropriate for their age.

• An official veterinary certificate confirming good health at the time of delivery.

If, within 72 hours to 7 calendar days after delivery , a licensed veterinarian diagnoses, in a written report, a serious illness that existed prior to delivery (and was not detectable in the prior examination), the buyer may request, upon presentation of that veterinary certificate:

• Replacement with another puppy or kitten of similar characteristics, subject to availability; or

• A full or partial refund of the price, as agreed between the parties.

Guarantee exclusions

The health guarantee does not cover:

• Illness or health problems caused by improper handling, accidents, negligence, or lack of post-delivery care.

• Problems arising from abrupt diet changes, adaptation stress, or failure to follow the recommended post-delivery veterinary check-ups.

Traceability, identification and claims

As a breeder registered under zoological registry number ES300030440050 , we guarantee full traceability of every animal (microchip identification and health passport in accordance with Royal Decree 1021/2022). Any health-related claim must be submitted in writing, accompanied by the corresponding veterinary certificate, within the period stated above, through our official contact channels.
